Visitors to ADAPT's centres often tell us that they are 'different'
and the people who come through them are resourceful, articulate and wanting
to assume a new role in the wider society, free from drugs and alcohol.
We see this happen to most of our clients, including those who enter treatment
under a court order, or at a point of crisis, with no predetermined motivation
to stop using. Yet several weeks down the line, many will have started
to seriously contemplate, perhaps for the first time, training, jobs and
responsible lifestyles.
