The Diana, physically much larger than Barley Wood, is in a contrasting, yet equally attractive location near the North Norfolk coast. Built in 1899 as a TB sanatorium, and later used as a hospital for people with physical disabilities, it is fully adapted to meet the needs of the wheelchair bound and those with other physical impairments.
There are currently 71 beds at The Diana, including up to 15 for extended care. The extended care day unit is in a separate building on the hospital site, although residents' bedrooms are in separate quarters of the main building.
The Diana also provides a self-contained, four-bedded bungalow for clients in the latter stages of extended care who can benefit from living in a semi-independent environment prior to their discharge
